Museum of the land of Frankincense – Salalah - Oman
This place is located at a distance of 40 km from Salalah. If you are coming by car, it is advisable to find your way from Muscat. You can see the board on the right-hand side immediately after passing RuvayaVillage.It is only 1 km inside of the main Highway. So this place will be a good view for you when you come to see Salalah. The wadi is considered a sample habitat for frankincense trees. WadiDowkah is a stony, semi-desert valley characterized by low, round-shaped hills and shallow bits made by occasional wadi floods in ancient times. The wadi is a perfect habitat for the frankincense trees scientifically known as (Boswellia Sacra) which are considered the best type of frankincense in the world. When we went there we saw about 1250 ancient perennial trees of different sizes from this area.
